Thank you for visiting my website.
What follows is a little about my professional history:
Before entering into the mortgage and real estate industry, I was a paralegal for many years. I began my career in the paralegal field working for a Judge in Maryland as a courtroom clerk. I went to college in Greensboro, North Carolina. I worked for several years for attorneys in Greensboro, North Carolina, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and in the Central Florida area. I have lived in Central Florida since July of 1990. I still do business with local attorneys here in Florida, and I receive referrals from local attorneys for clients that need a mortgage loan.
I still use my paralegal training and research skills today in my job as a loan officer, as I am skilled in doing research, reading and understanding the law, meeting deadlines, and putting together a professional and thorough file. I know how to interview a client and how to ascertain the goals of my clients. I know how to listen and to put others needs and desires ahead of my own. In essence, I use these same skills that I had to learn in my paralegal work on a day-to-day basis in this business.
After having been a paralegal for so long, I decided to learn about the mortgage and real estate industries, and I spent about a year or so after I got my mortgage broker license doing a lot of self-study, attending local seminars, reading books, reading and familiarizing myself with the laws that govern the industry, talking with professionals, attending classes, and so forth before ever taking a loan application. The more I learned, the more I became intrigued with the industry, and I just wanted to keep on learning more and more. After about a year of training and hard work, I took on my first mortgage loan client, and I have never looked back. I love this industry, and I love what I do!
I continue to keep abreast of the laws governing this profession, lender guidelines, and the events that are happening in this industry. I will keep learning and studying so that I can offer my clients the best service possible and so that I can do so in full compliance with all laws that govern my profession.
I make myself familiar with the specific issues going on in the real estate and mortgage industries relative to this state. I like to know my market, and, with this knowledge, I believe that I can better assist my clients. Further, I like the ability to sit down and talk with my clients, face to face, so I can get to know you and so that you can get to know me. I like being more than a voice on the other end of the phone to my clients, and I enjoy giving my clients personal service. I always want to insure that I understand your financial situation and your present and future goals as to your mortgage loan and your real property. Likewise, I want to insure that you understand the loan programs available to you and the specific loan program that you have chosen.
With the above being said, I look forward to meeting you very soon, getting to know you, and working with you toward achieving your mortgage financing goals.
I respect and understand the fact that your mortgage loan is, in all likelihood, the largest financial transaction you will enter into. As such, I take my job very seriously, and I am committed to making sure that you have the best possible loan to meet your needs and that I have thoroughly explained your loan to you in an honest, clear, and concise manner.
I would not want you to enter into a mortgage loan transaction without you completely understanding the loan in its entirety and the terms of the loan.
I promise to you that I will treat you with the utmost respect during your mortgage loan process and that I will be here for you and to consult with you every step of the way. I also promise to you that, if I do not know the answer to any of your particular questions, I will do the necessary research, and I will find the answers for you.
I do not discuss rates during the first phone call or conference, as you deserve better service than that. No one can quote an accurate interest rate for your loan without thoroughly reviewing your income, your assets, your credit profile, your financing goals, and your future plans insofar as the property for which you desire a mortgage loan.
In closing, as you may know from reading the local and national news and from listening to the media, the mortgage and real estate industries are experiencing some major problems. Lenders have shut down; a lot of good people have lost jobs; families are being affected; many homeowners are faced with difficult situations with their mortgages; and, the market is suffering.
I will continue to work in this industry as a professional so that I can help my clients achieve their financing goals. I will continue to work with honest and ethical lenders, appraisers, real estate agents, title agents, and other industry professionals to make this industry better, for the benefit of my clients and my colleagues.
It is very important to me that I do my part for the industry and that I do not participate in or tolerate any form of fraud or deceit. This industry is too important to me, as are my clients. You can be assured that I work in an ethical, upfront, honest, and compliant manner. I will continue to do my part to make the industry better for all involved, including, you, the consumer.
Please be forthright with me with your application and throughout the loan process, and I will do my part in providing you with the most professional service that you deserve.
I love and truly value my clients, and I hope to be able to have you as a client soon. Give me a call, and I'll take care of you!
Take care, and enjoy your day.
